Our first appointment typically lasts 2 hours.  During that time I will get to know to you, learn about your concerns, explore your medical history and do a physical exam.  Following the exam, I will treat you.  Treatment usually involves the insertion of very thin, sterile needles.  I only use disposable single-use needles.  Treatment also can include other techniques such as moxibustion, cupping, or gua sha.  We may also discuss nutrition or lifestyle support.  I take the time to listen and fully explain everything we are doing.

Follow up appointments typically last 1 hour.  During that time we will check in on your healing and do a treatment.  My goal of our work together is to not only help resolve your symptoms but to help you cultivate your observation skills and to help you notice how your symptoms come and go.  Our time together will empower you with practices to take charge of your own healing and wellness.

The fees charged are comparable to rates charged by other acupuncturists in this area.  Rates are based on length of treatment and services offered.  Please reach out to inquire about our fee schedule.

I am currently an in-network provider with CIGNA and CareFirst/BCBS.  If you have another insurance plan, I will give you a statement you can use to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.  Please reach out to explore if you have insurance benefits that cover acupuncture.
